That's it. Grammar is bad. Sentences don't finish. Doesn't matter. These 400 characters are the raw material for the Instagram post and blog draft coming next.
If typing feels slow: open the ChatGPT or Claude mobile app, tap the microphone, and rant alone for 3 minutes. Transcription is automatic. Speaking produces rawer material because the urge to tidy is lower — which is exactly what you want.

Tidy grammar but don't average out the tone.

The core of this prompt is the last two lines. If you don't explicitly say "don't average out," "don't invent facts," the AI slides back into generic SNS voice ("Hey everyone! Today I'm bringing you a really important story…") and quietly adds numbers that weren't there.
📖 Term: Voice Preservation The hardest part of content extraction is keeping your voice. AI defaults to "average-writing-voice" because its training data is billions of pieces averaged together. Your actual voice is an outlier from that average. So unless you explicitly ask to "preserve my voice" and "keep my expressions," AI snaps back to the average. The habit of adding those lines to every extraction prompt is literally what decides whether your content smells "AI" or not.

The first could be written by anyone. The second contains facts only you have. Editing's job is to restore that difference.

Answer "yes" to all five and this tutorial is complete.
If any of these is "no," the cause is almost always too-short raw dump or skipped editing. If raw dump is under 400 characters, reset the timer and pour for 3 more minutes. If you skipped editing, read the five checks aloud and run them. Never post an AI draft untouched.
Variant 1 — Use built-in voice input (2026 recommended)
No separate recording app needed. Open the ChatGPT or Claude mobile app, tap the microphone, and talk for 3 to 5 minutes. The transcription appears in the chat automatically. Add "extract an Instagram post from this" right after and you go from speaking to draft in a single session.

Variant 6 — Extend into another language
Do your raw dump in your native language, then ask "Now extract the same piece in English." Not perfect, but enough for a draft — and the same works in reverse.

❓ The draft still smells "written by AI" You probably skipped Step 4. Replace at least three spots with your actual phrasing. "Hey everyone" → "Something happened to me today," "this is a really important topic" → "I thought I was the only one who didn't know this."
❓ The prompts feel too long Long prompts beat short prompts 10 to 1. A well-made extraction template gets reused 100+ times — save it in your notes app and swap only the raw dump.
❓ Multiple formats from the same dump come out too similar Same chat means AI references its previous answer. Fix: open a new chat, or add "Make this blog post come from an entirely different angle than the Instagram version — different quotes, different examples, different structure."

Writing jams not because of lack of talent but because people run "creative (pulling thoughts out)" and "editorial (making them readable)" modes at the same time. Fixing this requires a two-layer guard: (1) explicitly stating "preserve my voice" and "do not add facts I didn't include" in the prompt, and (2) running the Step 4 voice-restoration edit that replaces AI-smell phrases with your actual phrasing. A paid model upgrade doesn't solve it, and posting as-is is the exact opposite answer.
